“American Idol” star Bo Bice claimed he was a victim of racist behavior at a Popeyes restaurant.
In post to Facebook, which was removed by the social media giant for violating Facebook community standards, Bice said he was at the Popeyes at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Friday when a black female employee called him a “white boy.”
Bice said that Facebook deleting the original post “silenced the opinion of all of you and me who are tired of the racist double standards that have infested our society.”
In an exclusive interview with WOFL, Bice said the situation shocked him.
“If tables had been turned and I used something as insensitive like that … I would be boycotted, people wouldn’t buy my albums,” he said.
It’s hard to argue with that. Had a white employee called an African-American customer “black boy,” the left would have excoriated the employee, boycotted Popeyes and possibly used the incident as an excuse to incite riots.
The “American Idol” finalist also said the incident was part of a bigger problem.
“It’s time for us to wake up and start having some dialogue,” he said. “It’s not 1960, it’s 2017 and we are all adults here.”
Popeyes released a statement which said they were sorry that the incident occurred and for any pain or embarrassment Bice might have experienced.
They added that the company didn’t condone the employee’s behavior and “took corrective action” as soon as they were aware of the incident.
The Washington Times reported that the employee had been suspended.

Sadly, this is the America President Barack Obama helped create. As he prepares to leave the White House, he should be ashamed that he, along with every other race-baiting liberal in America, has exacerbated the racial tension in the country.
