CNN Reporter and Trump Team Member BOTH Tweeted Fake News… CNN Reporter Fine, Trump Supporter Fired

Liberal news outlets have had a heyday with the term “fake news” while trying to somehow prove that conservatives are the main proponents of it. However, two recent events from President-elect Donald Trump’s team and CNN prove the mainstream media’s blatant hypocrisy.

Earlier this month, Trump fired Michael G. Flynn after he spread a fake news story that linked Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign to a sex trafficking ring tied to a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C., according to Business Insider. Flynn, the son of Trump’s pick for national security adviser, posted to Twitter that until the so-called “pizzagate” scandal was proven to be false, it would remain a story.

Trump, who apparently didn’t want to be associated with fake news, promptly let Flynn go.

Compare that harsh action to what happened to CNN’s Brain Stelter, who recently reposted to Twitter a link to a video where two men claimed they were being removed from a Delta Air Lines flight because they were speaking Arabic. The original video has been shared more than 800,000 times on the social network.

The video has been accused by some of being false because the creator of the video, Adam Selah, is notorious for his social experiments and online pranks. Journalist Joe Concha appeared on Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson’s show “Tonight” last week where he claimed that Selah was a “professional hoaxer,” something Stelter failed to tell his followers.

Unsurprisingly, CNN has stayed quiet about the matter, and Stelter has commented that there were many unanswered questions regarding the video.

This looks especially bad for Stelter, who encourages his viewers and followers to “triple check” stories and links before sharing. Normally this would be embarrassing, but we’re talking about liberals who typically have no shame.

Watch Tucker Carlson and Joe Concha discuss the video below:

CNN’s failure to do anything about Stelter’s claim, or even address it, is the height of hypocrisy for the network.
