Many movie fans have been shocked for the past two days by the death of Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the popular “Star Wars” franchise.
Fisher died on Tuesday after suffering a massive heart attack on Dec. 23. Since her death, various tributes to her have been going viral, like one posted by Corey Vidal, a video blogger, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
Vidal posted a photo of himself and Fisher together on his Facebook page, along with a caption explaining the somewhat amusing circumstances under which the photo was taken.
“The last time I met Carrie Fisher was on the red carpet for “The Force Awakens.” I asked if she wanted to take a selfie, and she replied, “Only if you promise to tell everyone we’re dating,” he wrote along with the photo.
That’s definitely a memorable way to have your photo taken with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
On Thursday, Fisher’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, died following a seizure. The death of two of Hollywood’s biggest stars left many people speechless.
This year has seen the death of many famous celebrities, leading many people to simply hope that the year can end in a few days without any more beloved stars passing away.
The U.K. Independent noted that Fisher had already completed her part in the Star Wars VIII film, so fans will get to see her one last time on the big screen in December 2017.
