Obama Working To Create Problems For Trump

According to former New York mayor and current Donald Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani, President Obama is using his final days in office to attempt to create problems for the president-elect.

“I find this all part of what is extraordinary in what President Obama is doing. I’ve never seen a president try to create more problems for a future president,” said Giuliani, referencing Obama’s recently announced sanctions against Russia and his refusal to veto the U.N.’s anti-Israel resolution.

As far as Giuliani is concerned, the recent U.N. resolution against Israel — which not only limits Israel’s ability to build settlements but also challenges Israel’s claim to parts of Jerusalem — was a betrayal of our strongest ally in the region.

“First, he double-crosses Israel and after many times and many other presidents vetoing the condemnation of Israel for taking the settlements, he does it and creates lack of leverage for Israel and the United States in trying to trade land for peace or try other negotiations in the last hours of his presidency,” Giuliani said.

In particular, he questioned why Obama waited so long before acting on reports that Russia sought to interfere in the 2016 election.

“He completely double-crosses one of our biggest allies, and now after 18 months of this hacking he does something about it. Why didn’t he do something about it 18 months ago?” asked Giuliani.

Giuliani also cited Obama’s failed “Russian reset” and his arrogant dismal of Mitt Romney’s warnings about Russia during the 2012 presidential campaign as possible reasons for the current crisis.

“Somebody can honestly say none of this would have happened if President Obama had been awake — if President Obama had listened to Mitt Romney when Mitt Romney said Russia was a threat and he laughed at him,” Giuliani said.

“If he didn’t reset the relationship with Russia and give up the defense of the Czech Republic and Poland, if he didn’t invite Russia into Syria and bring Russia back into the Middle East after 30 years of being out of the Middle East, after all that, and letting this go for 18 months, two weeks before he goes out of office, he does a bunch of these sanctions just to create a problem for Russia,” he said.

Giuliani described Obama’s response to Russia as “too little, too late” and said it was “almost silly the way he did it.”

“It’s a much bigger picture. It has to be seen in a much bigger picture, and that’s why petty little actions like this don’t mean very much. It’s almost a mockery to say this is too little, too late. It should have been done 10 months ago, 11 months ago, 12 months ago,” he said.

Giuliani further expressed an interest in seeing the intelligence reports for himself and a need for the American people to see the evidence as well.

“If it is really true, the response should be much stronger,” he continued. “But I want to see that report, and then I would want my own people — I do investigations of hacking. I would want my own people to investigate this, and I would want to know who really did it and then I would hit them back so hard they wouldn’t be able to do it again.”
