One song that is sure to bring patriots to tears is “America the Beautiful.” With its message of pride and healing, it couldn’t be left out of the inauguration.
Soul legend Sam Moore said that he was honored to sing at the ceremony, and that he would not be bullied by the hateful left into cancelling his performance. He added, “We all as Americans need to unite behind our new president and give him a chance. He needs everyone’s support to make America greater, stronger, and an even better country,” via Breitbart,
“I am not going to let them, the left side, intimidate me from doing what I feel is the right thing to do for the country and that [presidential] seal,” Moore continued. “Give the man a shot. He hasn’t even said ‘I do’ yet. Give him a chance. If you don’t like him after four years, then don’t vote for him next time.”
Moore proudly sang for Donald Trump when other stars cancelled after receiving death threats or realized that their performances would be seen as support of the incoming president.
And it went well—the song was lovely and brought tears to all American eyes. Moore was flanked by a chorus of backup singers, all of whom had pride and honor shining in their eyes as they sang the beloved American song.
Other performers at the “Make American Great Again: Welcome Celebration” included Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood, 3 Doors Down, and The Piano Guys. All have surely received hate for their decision, but they’ve also received love from most Americans.
The blind opera singer Andrea Bocelli cancelled his performance because of the threats to his life, and his security was uncomfortable with his appearance. That’s understandable.
If I was blind and I got death threats, I wouldn’t sing either to keep myself safe. However, the other stars, who refused because of their “principles,” have contributed to the needless fear mongering of the mainstream media. There is nothing to be afraid of!
Toby Keith faced the liberals head on when they demanded he apologize for performing at the inauguration. He stated, “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military. I performed at events for previous presidents [George W.] Bush and [Barack] Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO,” via Freedom Daily.
This is true American pride. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from—all that matters is that you support this country and its leaders. People need to be more like Keith and Moore and say no to the liberals who would have us be ashamed of our country!
