Suspect Police Identified Leaving Scene of Orland Cop Killing Also Wanted in Connection With Slaying of Pregnant Woman

The man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend is now a suspect in the murder of a deadly shooting that killed an Orlando police officer on Jan. 9.

In a Twitter post, WESH 2  reported that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office “confirms Markeith Loyd, wanted in Dec. killing of pregnant woman, spotted leaving scene of today’s shooting.”

Later, Fox News confirmed Loyd is indeed suspected of being the gunman who opened fire and killed a police officer outside an Orlando Walmart.

According to authorities, Loyd killed 17-year-old police veteran and mother of two Master Sgt. Debra Clayton as she was shopping at the Walmart. Loyd fired 12 shots, three of which hit Clayton. She died hours later at a local hospital.

Loyd is well known to law enforcement. On Dec. 13, according to authorities, he shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Sade Dixon.

According to International Business Times, Dixon was three months pregnant, and had two other children as well.

Loyd is no stranger to crime. In fact, he has been arrested 20 times since 1994.

This man needs to be caught. If what investigators are saying is true, in just one month, he has taken three lives — first, his ex-girlfriend and her unborn child, and then an innocent police officer.

Orando has been in the national spotlight since last summer, when a crazed Islamic terrorist killed 49 during an attack at a gay nightclub there.

Officials are doing everything they can to catch this criminal, but it will be hard, considering he seems to know how to evade law enforcement.

“We’re going to bring this dirtbag to justice,” Orlando Police Chief John Mina said. “There’s going to be someone who knows where he is.”
