Trump Inaugural Parade Includes Groups That Obama Failed To Get

President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee has confirmed that three veterans groups will be marching in next month’s presidential inaugural parade.

The organizations scheduled to attend are the American Veterans, Disabled American Veterans and the Wounded Warriors Project.

While other veterans groups marched in President Obama’s inaugural parade, these three organizations chose not to attend.

“People from every corner of the country have expressed great interest in President-elect Trump’s inauguration and look forward to continuing a salute to our republic that spans more than two centuries,” said inauguration committee CEO Sara Armstrong.

Boris Ephsteyn, Trump’s director of communications, told Fox News the parade participants represent “the truly best of America.”

He added the parade would be “representing folks from all over this beautiful country.”

Ephsteyn pointed out that the home states and home cities of both Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence will be represented.

The NYPD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums will represent New York while the Columbus North High School Band will be representing Indiana.

When asked how long the parade was expected to last, Epshteyn said, “Donald J. Trump is here to work. So this parade will be an hour to an hour and a half.”

The parade will contain representatives from every branch of the U.S. military.

Consisting of 40 separate organizations and 8,000 individual participants, the parade will be made up of members of law enforcement, the military, high school students and even representatives of the Boy Scouts of America.

Surprisingly, the list of participants — which was released Friday — does not include a high school marching band from the D.C. area.

The inaugural event, which will go on for five days, will include dinners, concerts and inaugural balls, all of which culminate Jan.20 in the inauguration of Trump as the 45th president of the United States.
