President-elect Donald Trump has been releasing lists of speakers and guests who will be attending his inauguration, and one of the groups that will be participating in the inaugural parade is sure to get under Mexico’s skin.
The Border Patrol Pipes and and Drums Corps will be marching in the parade, The Presidential Inauguration Committee reported. If that isn’t Trump trolling Mexico, I don’t know what is.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will also have a section in the parade. In addition to that, several other military and police bands will be marching, as well as a smattering of veterans groups.
It looks like Trump wants to remind everyone right from the beginning of his administration that he remembers his promises about deporting criminal illegals and building a wall.
This gesture could also be a thank you to the Border Patrol, which endorsed Trump very early in his campaign thanks to his tough rhetoric on illegal immigration.
More attendees are expected to be added to the list, as well as names of performers and other dignitaries who will be attending the festivities.
Trump clearly wants to make this inauguration ceremony memorable.
After that day, then the real work begins. Once Trump takes the oath of office, he will officially have the power to enact the changes he has been promising Americans for the past year.
